  1. Is ePGP equivalent to a MBA degree by UGC/AUI, for example can it be a requirement criteria to Pursue PHD ?

    1. Jayant,
      Nope, ePGP is considered equivalent to MBA but is not recognized as MBA equivalent as per UGC norms. For that matter none of the EPGP is equivalent to MBA. ISB coure – PGPMAX is also not considered an MBA by UGC.
      However as per Chairman, Interactive Distance Learning, effort is on to make it regularize. Secondly IIMK would at least consider it as a stepping stone for FPM program as informed to us. Most of the IIM give credits for the courses attended through Hughes mode but there is an examination to prove that you indeed has learnt. Also its AMBA credition would help secure admission to PHD course elsewhere in Europe.

    I have been selected for EPGP04, wanted to get some information about the starting phase of this course, like how the campus module will be, hostel accomodation,..etc.
    Any idea how many got selected this year for the course.

    1. Wonderful!!!! You could check with IIMK if they would provide any accommodation or not. For our first visit we weren’t provided accommodation but during our 2nd visit we were. However IIMK would provide bus service to IIMK campus so you need not worry. Coordinate with IIMK and they would also coordinate for timings to airport as well while on departure and on arrival too. Staying in campus is more fun than staying outside. Campus is at hilltop and is very beautiful. There are regular shuttle service IIMK campus to outside city as well.

      There are 300 who have been given offer of which 250 are from EPGP and 50 from EEPGM

    Firstly congrats on informative blog. Its really helpful!!
    I have a Query on selection procedure for EPGP program. Does the applicant on waiting list (eMAT) have chances of making it. any info will b helpful.

  5. Before looking at this certificate I used to pronounce the city name as कोझिकोड, which is way off from the real one कोषिक्कोड। Probably another city to change the spelling 🙂
