  1. Hi Vinay, need your advise and guidence on eMAT preparation.Any book/traning material you would advise us to start with.Appreciate your help.Thanks.

      1. Thanks Vinay..CAT is too much to cover in these 2 months so wondering if you have any tip..I am sure many of us planning for EPGP this year will have similar concer/question.Any suggestion to make best use of this period.

      2. It is pretty straightforward. 1-2 month preparation would be good enough to get through. Also GMAT/CAT has high number of applicants unlike EMAT. Selection ratio is 1:10 unlike other exams

  2. Hi Vinay, thanks for providing the update on the EPGP Course in detail. It would be helpful if you can let us know if an Alumni status with IIMK provided as we attend the course.

  3. Thanks Mr Bhutani for sharing this information!!

I have already gone through sample E Mat Paper. Please suggest some study material or online links from where i can prepare for eMAT

  4. Hi,

I have a query abt this program.

I work in IT areas so due to project work etc I may have to be onsite (for weeks/months) so what I want to know is:

    1. Is it mandatory for someone to attend the course at Hughes IDL centers or one can cover a particular lecture/module via internet from anywhere.
    2. Are timings flexible? I mean do we have to attend lectures(via IDL) at a fixed time or we can cover
the same module at our convenience (but in the same week).

I am sure many guys must be having similar issues as this program is for working professionals and due to emergencies / meetings etc its not possible to attend a particular module at the specified time.

I understand that, one has to be at IIMK campus once every year but apart from that I want to know how flexible this program is w.r.t. location/timings etc.

    Thx in advance,

    1. RG,

      Here are the answers –

      a) Yes you can attend from onsite. There is a fees which you need to pay. Not sure of the amount
      b) Nope timings are not flexible. However you can tell your Hughes administrator to record few sessions in case you are unable to attend the same. Video and downloads are pretty heavy and it takes 1-2 days for them to download it for you. You can listen to them at later point in time. However you may not be able to give quiz (some times it is a surprise quiz)
      c) For the very first year both of your on campus sessions would end. They are surely mandatory but i exception cases I have seen that being waived off as well.

Let me know if anything else you need to know

      Regards
      Vinay

  5. Hi Vinay,

I happened to see IIM-K release the new EEPGM course (http://get-me-mba.co.in/iim-kozhikode-eepgm/). Since it is related to general management, I wanted to know what is the credibility of the course and how is the recognition for this course from the government. Generally one year courses are not accepted at the same level as that of a two yr course.
If you have any information on the same please let me know.

    Thanks
    Deepa

    1. Deepa,
Both 1 year course – EEPGM and 2 year course – EPGP of IIMK are not recognized by Government of India as per the information I have. Same is the case with PGPMAX course which is being offered by ISB. But then IIM and ISB are already a brand in itself and they don’t need to get any further recognition from Govt. Well yes in case you are planning to apply in Govt Sector then surely you are not better placed. However we were told that IIMK would try to get some legality going in future for EPGP course as equivalent to MBA. EEPGM is anyways a certificate course

      Regards
      Vinay
